OK. It’s been six hours now since I saw New Moon. My first impression? Wow! they didn’t change the story! Aside from what I calculate as two changes in order, and areas where things happen in days rather than weeks. They did a pretty fine job of getting in many of the major scenes of the book and added very little.
As expected, Kristen Stewart was fabulous at being miserable! I guessed she would be after first movie, as that seemed to be her constant state. The movie Edward has never been “my” Edward and he continues to be the angst filled teenager kind. Taylor did a good job of being Jacob. The teen girls I was with found it hard to go back to the Rob Patterson Edward after seeing such a fine Jacob.
The special effects were great, and “running” vampires where a bit more believable than stupid. I personally thought the wolves where pretty good too. The addition of some fighting with the bad vampires was OK with me also.
Now, I’ve already started my list of what was wrong from a “book” purest point of view, but we’ll save that for another time.
Let’s just savor the success of this second movie that was actually better than the first!

I just had to watch this movie as the opening scene was filmed in my fair city! It was a bit (ok, a lot) stupid, but there was so much action I was able to finish it!
Here are some vital things I learned from this great piece of cinema inflicted on mostly the male youth of our great nation, and beyond.
1) College Girls are HOT! none are a bit pudgy or wear glasses, and they all act like they just want you!
2) Dogs humping is funny. ha ha… wow! how novel for a movie… so much, they showed us more then once!
I think the guys who wrote the script where 10 or 11. There is a lot of action, and if you like that it’s good to see, other wise very stupid (did i say that already?)

Ok, I wish I could get some money from this recommondation, but I can’t.
Not all anti-virus programs are the same. In the past I found the big names bog down my system and get their tentacles too wrapped around my registry!
For the past 3 years I’ve been using NOD32 an all my computers (even my mac/windows). It’s quality and lightweight. It doesn’t take forever to boot up or take up too much room on my harddrive.
Try the 30 day traial and see what you think.

MORE VOLDEMORT… or Tom Riddle, whatever you call him. 1/2 this book was how Voldi got to be who he is today… ALL cut out of movie… his sick grandfather, uncle, mother… stuck up father…
MORE NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM enough said…
Percey, Charlie, Bill, and Fleur… the way it looks now, I’m guessing they’re going to skip the wedding in 7… shame!
House elves, ghost, talking portraits, Trelawny.
The battle at the end… so i’m guess your wondering why the deatheaters had to get into Hogwarts anyway? Just to ruin the furniture? Nope… read the book and find out!
The book actually explains who the half blood prince is and how he got that name.
Now I suppose most of these don’t even bother you cause you have read none of the books, so you don’t even really know who Charlie and Bill are but that’s just it… there is so much more to this story… if you like the movies ya’ll get so much more fun from the books!
Audio books ok by me too

I love my netflix for streaming and old movies, but if you want something new now Redbox is the bomb! I love how you can reserve online. You can browse the DVD’s online, and find out what machine in your area has the movie you want. You can also return your DVD to any redbox!

I’m having a bad experience right now with getting shoes online. I’ve have to return them for the 2nd time because this brand appears to run very small. So, right now, it will be at least $27 just spent on S&H … and hoping the new size fits. Also, the company has been terrible in communications and they lost my first return. So, while they did make it up and send the new pair (after 3 weeks), the aggravation has not been worth it.
So, DON”T get shoes online… But here are the exceptions:
Buy from Zappos.com – they charge no S&H! They have an A++ in customer service and they pay their employees fairly.
If you are getting shoes that you KNOW fit you. Same brand and style you have worn for years. I’ve had good luck getting my crocs or berks online, and even my running shoes, but it was the same model I have been wearing all year.
Ok. Take my advice, save yourself the aggravation. Shoes online is a crazy idea, stick to books and music or stuff you don’t have to fit.

(ok, i’m talking PC’s right now, I don’t know if this applies to Mac…)
Your computer collects “junk” . you might uninstall stuff or delete stuff, but little parts of everything seem to stick around. This tends to slow down your computer after time.
Reformatting or erasing your hard drive and reinstalling windows can keep your machine buzzing along at a nice pace. This will also make you BACK UP all those files I have a feeling you never back up? Am I right?
It’s really not that hard a job. You need to A) back up all your prescious files, photos, docs, etc… I suggest getting an external hard drive, they are really cheap now. B) Make a list of all the programs you have that you use and love, then make sure you have a copy to reinstall or can download from the internet. C) Have a copy of your OS, Windows, preferable a LEGAL copy.
I will include some links on the actual process, but this is a good start!
#UPDATE JULY 6th 2009
ok.. maybe this isn’t for the lay person, find a geeky friend to help you, offer them money or dinner. Let them take the compter home overnight. Chances are most of you can’t do this yourself, but, IMHO it’s worth doing!
